Canine Papilloma Ridding Of

Destination: Tokyo! ... And two

Small premise before you start: this post has several notes at the bottom ^ _ ^

The next morning, Sunday, we decided visit Shibuya. But not before he had seen ... Harajuku!
For a cosplayer, and especially the Harajuku station near the bridge, is the Mecca: every weekend boys and girls put-away-especially the ordinary school uniform or outfit used to being transformed into a special, strange and colorful . You can meet anime and manga characters in flesh and blood, or boys and girls who wear clothes of their idols J-pop or J-rock , many girls become gothic lolita (and in different forms), other even create their own style and make it into something unique, then said Harajuku Style. Not surprisingly, Harajuku is the cradle of the most innovative styles and fashions of the art.

Even if you are not fans of cosplay, it is worth at least make the pilgrimage once in their lifetime.

We start after breakfast take-away from Starbucks (which became a habit of this trip), take the metro to Hibiya station and change to reach the Meiji-Jingumae.

Of course, I thought I'd show off a property that fits the place, not too much (I want to go in cosplay! Vale but he just did not want ç_ç).
We leave the station and we can see the first cherry of the trip! ----> IMPORTANT NOTE!
the famous bridge, however, no trace of cosplayers (
Yet the place is of course not! I can not be wrong!

Evidently the people of Harajuku is not too early ... We decide to go and come back later .. .
still admire the bridge and pass over, around Yoyogi park that is home to the Meiji Jingu temple erected for the souls of Emperor Meiji and his wife, destroyed during World War II and then rose again in the '50s.
We leave behind the city and we are entering into an oasis of peace almost unreal and although the city is a few steps behind us, we embrace the silence. The only sound is produced by the gravel beneath our shoes. We pass the great torii and immerse ourselves totally in the park. Walking
we spot on the right, large barrels of sake barrels on the left * and French wine from Burgundy ... .......................... ...
French wine? What c'azzecca French wine? Maybe it was also donated to the temple? Mah ..
continue to pursue the path of the park until we spot the usual gift shop (although reality shows now be much more interesting than ours.) After the purchase of the ritual, we continue with the tour.
In the distance we see the great temple.
Once through what appears to all intents and purposes an input, we are embraced by the arcades and fully immerse ourselves in the unique atmosphere. The Meiji Jingu is one of the most important Shinto shrines in Tokyo. It must be a day of celebration because we catch sight of several women with their traditional clothing, the kimono. Inside the temple, we see the true miko **, with their traditional dress, the Chihaya. And forever more I realize that Japan is only in the manga itself, not a fantasy world (as it appears us Westerners, accustomed to a completely different world.)
for the first time I see the inside of a temple and the tender moment of prayer and thanksgiving to the deity. Everything around me is inspiring .... E 'atmosphere hard to explain ...
Can we even spotted a pair of newlyweds dressed in traditional intent to do the photo shoot (that's what the kimono of some women)!
After this mystical immersion, we continue the ride in the park and come in a more open area, where families and groups of friends are the classic picnic, all armed with their own bento, the Japanese version of our "lunch" ** *, and this reminds us that the time has come for food for us!
Nearby, there are a number of traders and hawkers I do not miss this chance to taste the famous Nikuman (only those who have read Ranma 1 / 2 can understand), a Japanese retailer walking at 100%. The nikuman appears in the guise of a sandwich shaped like a giant ravioli stuffed with crushed houses and meat ... if you happen to, eat it, it's delicious!
On the banks of the lake (yes, because there is also the lake), the boys try choreography amid the applause of supporters ... but in really huge ____ see some crows, which, among other things, really not that emit sound (Ba-Ka, Ba-Ka )****!!

continue sightseeing in the park, which turns out to be really great, until you reach a paved road where she is a market in which we see only objects and food stalls ... for dogs! A sign explains that is being "Wanwan Carnival *****, event in honor of the dog. In all the strollers I've seen on this occasion, 99% belonged to a dog (small, of course) ... one of the Japanese oddities that I carry in the drawers of memory ...
Later we see other Banquet, this time for food for humans and we do not miss the chance to try another traditional delicacy: the okonomiyaki! It 's a mixture of cabbage leaves, water, flour and eggs and can be blown along with meat or vegetables and cooking on the teppan plate. Served with the typical okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise and Katsuobushi, the same dried tuna flakes on takoyaki. The okonomiyaki お好み焼き name literally means "cook what you want", then inside it can really be whatever you want:)

After arriving at the end of the road, we realize that we have reached a boundary of the park and then decided to return our steps towards Harajuku: we can see his people?
We are partially satisfied when, still in the park, we see two bands in the rockabilly style dance songs 80 (!?!), wrapped in leather pants to die from the heat. Finally
on deck I can see a few photographers and the usual sweet loli. I notice a lot of strange thing: it seems that the sweet in question did not want to be photographed ... I thought that was part of the game ...
I am on the bridge that I always wanted to see dressed for the occasion ... I really can not afford to have at least a photo? Absolutely not!
I start posing next to a column of the bridge and I do take pictures from Vale .... and what happens did not provide for the photographer ignores "his" sweetloli and began photographing me! The type becomes slightly insistent and ask me how to put and how not to put but thankfully I am saved by my knight, who takes me away (not before receiving a sticker to the kind little heart ... I still wonder what it could mean XDDD).

We then left the bridge and behind Harajuku station to leave for Shibuya, the fashion district and ggiovani! On the road to peck riuciamo some other representative of the people of Harajuku (type, a band of colorful and lampadatissime ganguro ).
The way we travel is full of clothing stores and music and the atmosphere is more Western. But the stores are not our goal (even if we do not save a little visit from Uniqlo): we want to get in front of the statue of Hachiko *_______*!
After long wandering, we caught by the absence of caffeine (that tragedy to be Italian), then decided to stop for a moment that of Starbucks and, map in hand, trying to understand where we are. The room, in front of a bronze water and coffee (damn Americans!), We look at the map and guide to figure out where to go once released. We see in the table next to ours, a lady to do reps to another (or at least it seemed) ... So why not ask her?
Background: I have the negation personified in terms of languages, especially in English. I'll jump anyway, but even when Valentino (who does not know English, but is not an empty head like yours truly) approaches fail to understand where to go out from there.

With the signs of the two most gentle lady, we can reach the station and the famous Shibuya crossing, where pedestrians cross all together from all directions and finally find the famous statue.
It is now evening and come back hungry. We put then back in gear this seems like a culinary tour.
Objective: Ramen!
We find in a chain-type restaurant really funny, in which waiters and cooks are screaming and casino. For those who asked if the ramen is made from wheat noodles in broth, mixed vegetables, meat and eggs (plus other condiments / decorations such as the famous naruto ******). In Italy is not in any oriental restaurants, even if the pot is of Chinese origin. It is often freeze-dried, in particular at the comics convention. I tell you this but that's not true .. Ramen are not even related!
The uniqueness of this restaurant is the order: everything is done by a machine located outside (or inside) of the space through which you order from the main portion (ramen) additions. The order is then digitally to the kitchen and are emitted from the machine of the "receipt" for the customer. Ordering is so easy, partly because each button has the image of the plate (essential for those unfamiliar with the Japanese).
Even the drinks can be ordered so even if the water or green tea are also served at the table.

Finally satisfied, we take the route of "home."
On the road, before the subway station, we see some Italian restaurant and it should not surprise us that much ... were it not for the names! Apparently the Japanese have a passion for Italian phrases translated literally or the sound of certain words, regardless of their meaning. So
happen to see a restaurant where the fish is called "wolf fish tavern Italy), or even a restaurant named" Goat Ciccio "
... The Japanese are fantastic!

Here's how to finish a beautiful day so fantastic ... laughing!

to be continued ...
________

* for the uninitiated, sake is a liqueur drink produced by the fermentation of rice. It 'also called Nihonshu, literally "Japanese wine", although, as a preparation, it is more similar to beer.

** miko = priestess, the plural is unchanged

*** In fact, the bento (obento; べ んとう; 弁 当) is a lot more. All, by the student as the employee have the bento lunch: it's lunch-box store-bought or home made the evening (or night before), containing rice, fish or meat, vegetables ... all prepared having huge care dispozione of individual elements. To get an idea, I refer you here (a page is in English, much more explicit than the Italian)

**** baka = stupid / idiot. The raven appears in many manga to emphasize a funny moment in which one or more characters did or said something unintelligent

***** Wan Wan is the onomatopoeia of the dog, the consideration of our Japanese "woof." The cat gets instead nya nya:)

****** in fact, Naruto is just a type of kamaboko (the seal that is located in the ramen and soba), fish cake prepared in a cylindrical shape and then cut into slices. It is called "Naruto" by the spiral pattern in the center, which should remind the whirlpool in the narrow city Naruto .
